The Toronto Rock’s 17-9 loss to the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday saw the team pull goalie Nick Rose from a game for the first time this season. But coach John Lovell was emphatic in saying the move was not a message to the young keeper. “Nick Rose has been our most valuable player,” said Lovell. “It was more of a frustration or emotional response … to wake some guys up on that bench. But it’s not a reflection on Nick.
