CLax: Lock Monsters open with 2 wins

CLax kicked off its 2014 season over the weekend, and for the Niagara Lock Monsters, it couldn’t have gone much better. With 2 league games played — one on Saturday and another on Sunday — the Lock Monsters are off to a 2-0 start after Saturday’s 16-8 win over the Barrie Blizzard and Sunday’s 14-4 win over the Durham Turfdogs. Travis Gibbons scored 4 goals and Andrew Potter had 3 goals and 3 assists to lead the way in Saturday’s win, while Potter (2-4) and Connor Danko (4-0) led the way in Sunday’s win. CLax’s Week 2 includes 3 games this weekend with 2 games on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. See the full schedule here.
