Jason Noble suspended one game after review of match penalty, will play this weekend while appeal is heard

Jason Noble will make his National Lacrosse League debut as scheduled tonight. The Minnesota Swarm rookie defender and second overall pick in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft has appealed the one-game suspension he was given after the league reviewed the match penalty he received in an exhibition game against the Calgary Roughnecks on December 14. Noble received the penalty for a check in the first half of the game and was ejected. The NLL announced the suspension and the appeal via Twitter. Noble’s appeal means he will play tonight when the Swarm open their season in Rochester against the defending champion Knighthawks. If the suspension is upheld, he’ll have to miss Minnesota’s second game, two weeks from tonight in Langlet against the Washington Stealth.
