Here’s how the IL Indoor staff sees the first weekend of 2014 playing out:

Minnesota at Rochester
Rochester’s experience trumps Minnesota’s youthful exuberance. – Chavez

I’m going to guess that the old championship hangover bites the Knighthawks for at least one game and the Swarm use their speed and youthful enthusiasm to take the opener. – Stamp

Philadelphia at Buffalo
Both did a lot in the offseason, but Buffalo’s will have a bigger impact. – Chavez

The Bandits start out the Troy Cordingley era with a home win, but it’s no walk in the park against the game and athletic Wings. Look for Philly to hang with Buffalo early but the Bandits to pull away in the second half. – Stamp

Edmonton at Colorado
I like Edmonton’s defense an awful lot and it’s going to be hard to pick against it. So I won’t. – Chavez

Watch for Robert Church to quietly put up a handful of points in his first game in the NLL as the Mammoth focus on Mark Matthews and Curtis Knight. – Stamp
