Calgary Roughnecks fans will have the chance to choose from the best available seat locations for the 2014 National Lacrosse League season by attending the Roughnecks Select-a-Seat event at the Scotiabank Saddledome tomorrow. The event will be open to the public from 11 to 3 p.m. with complimentary parking in lot A (14 Avenue and 5 Street SE). During the Select-a-Seat event, fans will have the opportunity to check out the new turf, meet players and members of the Drill Crew, win prizes, enjoy free hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and hot chocolate, and sign up for a behind-the-scenes tour that includes viewing the Roughnecks, Flames and Hitmen dressing rooms.
Limited tour spots are available with participants selected at random. The Flames road game versus the Pittsburgh Penguins will be on the energy board starting at 11 a.m. In addition to access to the best available seat locations, all season ticket packages purchased during Saturday’s open house will include an entry for the chance to win a trip for two to Denver to see the Roughnecks play the Colorado Mammoth on March 8 at Pepsi Center.
Fans attending the open house can also watch over 100 minor lacrosse players participate in Train Like A Pro workshops instructed by Roughnecks general manager Mike Board, captain Andrew McBride, Dane Dobbie, Peter Dubenski, Barclay Hickey and Brett Baron.
Prior to the minor lacrosse workshops, fans of all ages and levels of experience will have the chance to get on the new turf to practice their lacrosse skills and interact with the Roughnecks during an open session from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Equipment will be available.
