Four more years. That’s what John Grant Jr. said when he signed a new contract with the National Lacrosse League’s Colorado Mammoth this week. But before that contract expires, Junior has a to-do list: Champion’s Cup with the Mammoth, Steinfeld Cup with the MLL’s Denver Outlaws, and a world championship next summer in Denver with Team Canada. “My goal is to win three in a row,” Grant told The Peterborough Examiner. “I have a lot of big things planned and I’m doing a lot of things off the floor to get myself ready for three.” Junior and his family live in Denver and before his playing days are done, he wants titles for more than just himself. “I moved here and have made a life here and Colorado showing that kind of trust and support that I can do it for another four years showed me a lot,” Grant said. “I love this city and hopefully I get an opportunity to win some championships with them.”Chavez is an avid lacrosse player in Rochester and a journalist for the Democrat and Chronicle as well as a longtime Inside Lacrosse contributor.
