The latest edition of the Bowhunter Cup was played on Saturday and the 24-11 win by the Iroquois suggests the contest wasn’t even close. But from a developmental standpoint, this yearly matchup is priceless for the young Americans, who are exposed to the game at its highest level and hopefully, they come away with a better understanding of how to improve the game for themselves and the Americans that come after them. Score of the game aside, there’s still plenty of action in these tilts and ILIndoor was fortunate to have photographer Larry Palumbo at Saturday’s game at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. What follows are a few of Palumbo’s shots for an up close and personal look at the game.Chavez is an avid lacrosse player in Rochester and a journalist for the Democrat and Chronicle as well as a longtime Inside Lacrosse contributor.
