Last Night: Caughnawaga clinches TNSLL Senior B series against Snake Island

The Caughnawaga Indians got 2 goals each from Jeremy Thompson and Jerome Thompson, with Lyle Thompson providing 5 assists to lead their team to an 8-6 win last night (box score) over the Snake Island Muskies. The victory clinches the best-of-7 TNSLL finals for Caughnawaga, which now prepares for the President’s Cup that starts Aug. 26 at Kahnawake. The 7-team field for the Senior B championships is pretty much set, with just 1 more berth — from Alberta — to be determined. That could be made known as early as tonight as the Sr. Mounties take a 2-0 lead into tonight’s Game 3 against the Outlaws in the best-of-5 series. But if you’re planning on heading to Kahnawake for this year’s President’s Cup even without knowing who the Alberta rep will be, the full schedule of games has been set up so go ahead and make plans for your viewing pleasure.
