Onondaga Redhawks, Newtown Golden Eagles shift Can-Am finals into high gear

The Can-Am finals are in full swing and the Onondaga Redhawks can take a commanding lead in the best-of-7 series with a win tonight against the Newtown Golden Eagles. The Redhawks, defending champion of the Can-Am league, hold a 2-1 series lead following an overtime win in Game 1 and a 12-9 victory in Game 2. Game 4 is set for 8:30 tonight at Onondaga and Game 5 is set for Sunday at Gil Lay Arena in Irving, south of Buffalo. The winner of the series heads north to Kahnawake, near Montreal, for the Senior B Presidents Cup from Aug. 26 to Sept. 1. Follow the action at the Can-Am website.
