Lacrosse has been a hot topic in Langely, B.C., with the WLA’s Thunder playing in 2 straight Mann Cups and the NLL setting up shop there with the Stealth franchise for the 2014 season. But if you’re in the area and that’s still not enough, here’s your chance for more. John Lintz, defenseman with the WLA’s Langley Thunder and NLL’s Edmonton Rush will be part of the Langley Events Centre 2013 Summer Lacrosse Camp, which also includes instruction from Shayne Jackson of the Thunder and the NLL’s Minnesota Swarm. Also scheduled to help are Athan Iannucci (Stealth, Thunder), Adam Jones (Mammoth, Thunder) and Mark Matthews (Rush, Thunder). Four sessions are scheduled: July 15-19, July 22-26, Aug. 12-16 and Aug. 26-30. Each weeklong camp has 2 sessions per day with morning sessions for players aged 6 to 9 and afternoon sessions for players aged 10-13. Cost of the camp is $80 per week and you can get more information, or register, by going to LangleyEventsCentre.com or by calling (604) 455.8805.Chavez is an avid lacrosse player in Rochester and a journalist for the Democrat and Chronicle as well as a longtime Inside Lacrosse contributor.
