Video: Knighthawks continue quest for their top play of the year, with your help

Throughout the season, fans have been asked to vote for their favorite play from each weekend for the Rochester Knighthawks’ Play of the Week. Now, the 16 winners from each week of the 2013 championship season are going head-to-head for the right to be named the Knighthawks’ Play of the Year. The Play of the Week winners have been divided into four regions — Defense, Behind-the-Back Goals, Crafty Helpers and Playmakers. It will be up to the voters to decide with plays advance from the round of 16 and attempt to earn the title as the top play from 2013. This week’s matchup comes from the Crafty Helpers Region, where the plays are dedicated to outstanding assists. Once you’ve watched the videos after the jump, head on over the Knighthawks website to cast your vote.

The first play was the winner of the Week #3 Play of the Week against the Buffalo Bandits, where Casey Powell connected with Stephen Keogh on a point-pin behind-the-back pass, allowing Keogh to go five-hole on Buffalo goalie Anthony Cosmo.

Our second play in contention this week, also against the Bandits, went from Dawson-Accursi-Jamieson to Craig Point, who completed the hat trick in only the second quarter. “Dangerous Dan” fed Mike Accursi with a behind-the-back pass, and then from the ground, Accursi fired the ball across the floor to Cody Jamieson. Jamieson completed the final pass with a laser to Point on the crease.
