The Six Nations Arrows boast a proud history of elite shooters. And as you make mental note of that list, you may want to add Brendan Bomberry. If he’s not on your list, there’s no doubt he’s on the list of many an opponent who know full well the damage he can do. “Being one of the veteran guys comes with a lot more pressure. But I like that. It’s who I am,” Bomberry told The Brantford Expositor. “I love playing lacrosse and I’m glad I can contribute the way I am now.” Bomberry has never scored more than 42 points in a Junior A season, but he’s already got 26 this summer and could end up with nearly 60 if he maintains the pace. Bomberry committed to playing NCAA lacrosse at the University of Denver starting in 2014 but before he jets off to UD, he’s playing an integral role for the Arrows in pursuit of the Minto Cup.Chavez is an avid lacrosse player in Rochester and a journalist for the Democrat and Chronicle as well as a longtime Inside Lacrosse contributor.
