Rosters for the 2013 National Lacrosse League season are set as per the 5 p.m. (EST) deadline to submit final rosters, and there were some big names among the movers and shakers. Or slightly altered. Biggest of all, perhaps, was Buffalo sending veteran forward Luke Wiles to the practice squad. Ryan Hotaling is back in the NLL, signed to the active roster by the Colorado Mammoth. Hotaling played 2 solid years for the Boston Blazers, emerging as one of the league’s best faceoff men despite never taking draws before his arrival in Boston. Brendan Mundorf was added to Philadelphia’s active roster, and the Wings also signed Brandon Francis to their practice squad. Francis had been without an NLL gig since the Bandits released the enforcer before the start of the season. Finally, the Washington Stealth activated Mitch Jones, the high-scoring forward who was a big part of Orangeville’s run to the Minto Cup. He was on the holdout list to play NCAA hockey at Northern Michigan, whose season ended last weekend.
