Toronto Rock General Manager Terry Sanderson was joined by coach Troy Cordingley and team owner Jamie Dawick Monday night at the CLax game between the Niagara Lock Monsters and the Ohsweken Demons. And as much as they’re fans of the game and enjoy watching, trips to games also can mean it’s for business as much as it is pleasure. So today’s news that the team signed Roger Vyse to its practice squad doesn’t really come as a surprise. Especially after the team announced that goalie Tyler Glebe had been moved to the Physically Unable To Perform list. Vyse, a 31-year-old left-handed forward, scored 2-2 in Monday’s game for Ohsweken and has 44 points (15-29) for the Demons this season. He is a veteran of 7 NLL seasons, all with the Buffalo Bandits and most recently played 9 games for Buffalo last season. But he was left off the roster for 2013 as the team underwent an overhaul. Vyse joins defender Bradley Kri and forward Brendan Thenhaus on the Toronto practice squad.Chavez is an avid lacrosse player in Rochester and a journalist for the Democrat and Chronicle as well as a longtime Inside Lacrosse contributor.
