The ILIndoor Fantasy battle rolls on, with Teddy Jenner still atop the standings with a healthy 493 points putting him in first place in our house league, and good for 119th out of the 3053 engaged in the NLL fantasy app this year. Bob Chavez, Ty Pison, Casey Vock, Stephen Stamp and Marty O’Neill round out the pack.
This weekend presents you with a plethora of options, as each team hits the floor, though the Rochester Knighthawks are the only club playing twice. Like we’ve been trying to do each week, here’s a few guys we think are worthy of consideration as you make those tough roster decisions for Week 6. Take ‘em for what they’re worth.
Aaron Wilson, F, Buffalo Bandits, $15 – Wilson had a breakout game last weekend for fantasy, with three goals, a helper and eight loose balls (22 fantasy points). His stepping up is essential for Buffalo to continue progress, and you could see he was playing with confidence. Looks like he could be worth the shot against the Knighthawks at home. He was two and two against them earlier this season.
Jeremy Thompson, T, Edmonton Rush, $10 – This guy exploded for a 22-point night against Calgary last weekend. He appears to be asserting himself more on the floor than ever before, and his speed and athleticism has made him very dangerous in transition opportunities. Has he taken his game to the next level? Feels like it might be worth the gamble with Thompson priced at just $10.
Cody Jamieson, F, Rochester Knighthawks, $20 – Jamieson’s got two chances to earn you some points this weekend, and with the Khawks earning a confidence-building win over the Stealth last weekend, it might be a good time to take a chance on Rochester’s most dangerous scoring threat. He’s been pretty quiet so far, and there were signs of some good things to come last weekend as the Khawks saw Dan Dawson getting into the mix. If those three (CP, DDD and Jammer) can gel, Cody’s going to have some big nights. Could come in the early morning Friday against Philly.
Josh Sanderson, F, Toronto Rock, $18 – Sanderson is averaging 16 fantasy points per outing, but the fact he’s leading a hot rock team with 12 goals gives us faith in going with best value-priced forward on the loaded Rock roster. He’s showing just how good he is this season.
Brad Self, D, Rochester Knighthawks, $10 – I like Self’s chances of producing a good number of points with two opportunities to do so this weekend. He’s scored in three of four games and always comes away with a nice number of loosies. Give this guy a look this weekend.
Kevin Buchanan, F, Philadelphia Wings, $12 – This sharp-shooting American deserves a look this week. He’s averaging 14 points and his shot from the outside has been very, very effective for the Wings so far this season. It’s not his first mention, as his price makes him pretty valuable on a good night.
