Yes, it was that kind of game as the Knighthawks pulled away from a 3-1 lead at the end of the first quarter with a 6-goal run in the second quarter en route to a 20-10 National Lacrosse League victory over the Wings, who announced a crowd of 5,139 for the morning game at Wells Fargo Center. Dan Dawson and Mike Accursi each scored 4 goals and Cody Jamieson added 3 more as the Knighthawks improved to 2-3 while handing the Wings (2-3) their third straight loss. Scott Campbell and Brad Self scored in the first minute of the second half to give Rochester a 13-2 lead before Philadelphia responded with a 4-goal run to get within 13-6. But Rochester outscored the Wings 7-4 the rest of the way before hopping on the bus and heading back to Buffalo for Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Bandits.
