The Rochester Knighthawks finally rebounded last weekend to get their first win of the 2013 National Lacrosse League season in a week 1 rematch against the Washington Stealth. The Calgary Roughnecks continued their road win streak, picking up the W in the first of four Battles of Alberta this season. The Colorado Mammoth, who flip-flop between wins and losses, picked up their first home win against the Minnesota Swarm. In a battle for first in the east, red hot Toronto Rock got their fifth win defeating the Buffalo Bandits on their home turf.

The east division continued to put some space between them, the west division, however, remains close with last place Minnesota Swarm only 1.5 games behind division leaders Calgary Roughnecks; which is the same spread between east division leaders Toronto Rock and 2nd place Buffalo Bandits.

There are five games on the schedule in week 6. In a business person/school day special Friday morning game, the Rochester Knighthawks (1-3) travel to Philadelphia to take on the Wings (2-2). On Friday evening, in a rematch of their week 4 game, the Minnesota Swarm (1-3) host east division leaders, the Toronto Rock (5-1). On Saturday, the only team playing back-to-back games the weekend, Rochester returns to New York to face the Buffalo Bandits (3-2). In the second Battle of Alberta, the Edmonton Rush (1-3) head south to take on rivals the Calgary Roughnecks (3-2). In the last game of the weekend, Washington Stealth (3-3) are back at home to host the Colorado Mammoth (2-2).

I know it’s been a tight season fans; I never quite know who is going to come away with the win, but, what are you doing to me? Picks were tied in all four games this weekend! The fan picks are at 7-8-6 so far this season.
