The busiest weekend of the 2013 National Lacrosse League saw three rematches of games played in weeks two and three. The Calgary Roughnecks climbed their way back to .500 winning on Friday and Sunday, the Toronto Rock also picked up wins against the Minnesota Swarm and Rochester Knighthawks, and the previously undefeated Philadelphia Wings dropped both their games.

While the east division teams have started to put some space between them, the west division, however, has three teams at 1-2, only one game back from division leaders, Washington Stealth.

There are four games on the schedule this weekend, all on Saturday night. The action starts off with the Toronto Rock (4-1) who currently sit atop Shanny`s Power Rankings, visiting east division rival Buffalo Bandits (3-1). In a rematch of the 2013 season’s opening game, the Rocherster Knighthawks (0-3), still looking for their first win of the season, host the Washington Stealth (3-2). Both teams itching for another win, the Minnesota Swarm (1-2) who have seen all three of their games come down to one goal decisions travel to take on the Colorado Mammoth (1-2). In the first of four ‘Battles of Alberta’ this season, the Calgary Roughnecks (2-2) head north to face off against the Edmonton Rush (1-2).

The stat I seem to reflect on here every week continues to rise; 9 of 17 games have been won by one goal so far this season. Which, while extremely exciting, has left me with an elevated blood pressure and a worn out carpet from pacing around my living room. In the widest spread so far this season, fans correctly chose Toronto (224-124) over Minnesota on Friday and Minnesota (195-172) over Washington on Saturday. For the first time this season, fans were split, with a tie in the Washington-Edmonton game (193-193) and the Calgary-Philadelphia game (185-185). Bringing the fan picks this season to 7-8-2.

Let’s go 4-0 this weekend fans, who ya got?
