Lacrosse fans in Boston get another chance to get back to the game at 7 pm tonight when the North American Lacrosse League’s Rockhoppers play their first home game against the Kentucky Stickhorses. The game is a rematch of the league’s season opener, in which Boston downed the Stickhorses in Kentucky. The Rockhoppers are led by the likes of former Boston Blazer Ryan Hotaling, Greg Rogowski, Andrew Kirkaldy and goalie Vincent Talbot.
Kentucky boasts a couple of Canadian stars–Travis Bland and Mike McLellan–to augment home-grown talent such as Brandon Dube, Anthony Kelly and Josh Kacprzack. Both teams are 1-1 early in the season. Boston dropped an overtime decision to the Baltimore Bombers in their first-ever home game. Kentucky edged the Rhode Island Kingfish in their second game of the year.Stamp is a TV sports announcer and lacrosse lover whose skill set made him a defender but who always dreamed of being a goal-scorer.
