The Kentucky Stickhorses of the North American Lacrosse League have signed former Brown University star Chazz Woodson to their roster. The Stickhorses open their NALL season tomorrow at the Boston Rockhoppers. “We are delighted to have Chazz join our team,” Stickhorses owner Anthony Chase said in a news release. “As the reigning champion of the NALL, the Kentucky Stickhorses will certainly be in great position to repeat with Chazz.” Woodson was a four-year letterman, two-time All-Ivy League selection and two-time All-New England pick at Brown. He’s played with various MLL teams over the years but is ready to give the indoor game a go. “Having Chazz join the NALL is proof positive that we are providing a new opportunity for top players to play indoor pro lacrosse without hindering their plans to play in the MLL”, says Anthony R. Caruso, Esq., the NALL’s Acting Commissioner. “Our ultimate objective is to deliver high quality competitive lacrosse throughout the USA for pro players who are serious about indoor lacrosse.”Chavez is an avid lacrosse player in Rochester and a journalist for the Democrat and Chronicle as well as a longtime Inside Lacrosse contributor.
