This is the time of year a lot of learning is done in the National Lacrosse League. Scrimmages and exhibitions help coaches make roster decisions for the 2013 season and after Edmonton posted a 14-10 win over the Calgary Roughnecks last night in a controlled scrimmage, there are some decisions coming in the very near future. But it’s not necessarily because of the result of last night’s scrimmage. The NLL deadline for teams to have their 23-man rosters finalized is Thursday, so all 9 NLL teams will be busy evaluating talent as borderline players await to hear their fate. Last night, Joe Resetarits helped his cause as Calgary’s top draft pick, scoring 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist). The Riggers did not dress mainstays Dane Dobbie, Geoff Snider, Shawn Evans, Andrew McBride, Curtis Manning and Kaleb Toth.
