The Rochester Knighthawks got their preseason schedule started with a win last weekend and now they take on a familiar foe in Round 2. A familiar, and probably angry, foe. “They are always a tough team to play,” Rochester’s Joe Walters told NLL.com of the Toronto Rock, Saturday’s opponent in Montreal. With them being in our division, I am sure they will want to set the tone for this upcoming season.” The Knighthawks eliminated Toronto in last year’s playoffs so Saturday’s game should have an edge to it, and that pleases Martin Routhier, who is promoting the game at the Bell Centre. “Once you see it, people will say ‘Wow, what a show!’ Some will want to play,” Routhier told the Montreal Gazette. Rochester’s Mike Accursi remembers when the NLL was in Montreal for the 2002 season and hopes the game can return. “I think fans will be a lot more aware of lacrosse and the rules of the game,” he told Knighthawks.net. “It would be exciting to see the Montreal fans back in the NLL.”
