The Toronto Rock are diggin’ their new digs in Oakville, but one veteran on the team has a message for the rooks: “This is pretty special,” forward Colin Doyle told the Toronto Sun. “I hope some of the guys in their first year don’t think it’s like this everywhere else. It’s little things like having our own dressing room where we can leave our stuff. It’s nice to see our logo on the door. It’s our home. (Owner Jamie Dawick) has done a tremendous job.” The new Toronto Rock practice facility opened earlier this fall, but last weekend was the first practice there for its chief tenant, the Rock. And Doyle, who has seen his share of first practices, told the Sun that Friday’s session went well. “It was a good tempo,” he said. “Exactly what you want in a first practice.”
