The Minnesota Swarm signed Brock Sorensen, their No. 1 pick and the No. 2 pick overall, meaning all 10 first-round draft picks of the National Lacrosse League entry draft are now under contract with the teams that drafted them. The Swarm signed the 6-foot-6, 220-pound defenseman to a 1-year contract and he brings a winning pedigree to Minnesota as a Minto Cup and Mann Cup champion. “What we found in Brock was truly the full package player,” coach Joe Sullivan in a statement from the team. “He can do it on the floor, he can do it the locker room … everything we’ve looked for, he’s going to bring.” The Swarm, who advanced to last year’s West Division final, open training camp this weekend to prepare for the 2013 season.
