Rochester Knighthawks Vice President of Player Personnel Jody Gage will be feeling the heat. No, not from having to put together the Knighthawks roster; he’s being roasted for charity at an event put on by local fundraising group Saints and Sinners, Inc. Gage is a member of both the American Hockey League Hall of Fame and the Knighthawks Hall of Fame. He is still viewed fondly by Rochester Americans fans for his record-setting 10-year career with the team. The reminiscences will lean toward the fun-making rather than the fondness, though, as Gage is the subject of the organization’s 55th annual Fall Guy Charity Roast. “It’s quite an honor. It’s a big deal in Rochester,” Gage told Carly Szydlowski for a story on Knighthawks.net. “Every year they have a celebrity or a politician, you know it’s always a big name. So to be the one recognized at this event is truly an honor.”Stamp is a TV sports announcer and lacrosse lover whose skill set made him a defender but who always dreamed of being a goal-scorer.
