Knighthawks to receive NLL championship rings at Championship Banquet on Nov. 23

The 2012 National Lacrosse League Champion Rochester Knighthawks will “ring” in the upcoming season on Friday, November 23 with their Championship Banquet. The players, coaches, ownership and staff will receive their 2012 World Championship rings the evening before the team holds its opening weekend of Training Camp. The event will take place in the grand ballroom of the Radisson Riverside Hotel. Doors open at 7:30 with dinner scheduled for 8 p.m. followed by the ring ceremony at 9 p.m. Rochester defeated the Edmonton Rush 9-6 on May 19th to capture the franchise’s third championship.

Fans can attend the Championship Banquet, meet the players and have their pictures taken with the Champion’s Cup at the event. Admission is just $25 with the net proceeds going to the Knighthawks Charitable Foundation, Inc. A limited amount of tickets can be purchased at the Knighthawks office by calling (585) 454-4295 or online at www.knighthawks.com until Friday, November 9th. Formal attire is requested.

The 2012 National Lacrosse League Champion Rochester Knighthawks will “eat fresh” before kicking of their Training Camp on Saturday, November 24th. Knighthawks Joe Walters, Jordan Hall and Matt Vinc will sit down for subs at the Perinton Subway location before signing autographs and greeting fans.

The players will make an appearance at the Subway at 16 Perinton Hills Mall in Fairport from noon to 2:00 p.m. Fans can win tickets and prizes, and take advantage of the special sub promotion. That day, if you buy one footlong sub and a 30-ounce drink, you will receive an additional footlong sub for free.

The Knighthawks have teamed up with the Perinton Subway location for the 2013 season. The team will hold future promotional appearances and launch a special Knighthawks sub in January.

Fans can meet the players and grab lunch before heading to Total Sports Experience in Gates to watch the Knighthawks open their Training Camp. The team will undergo fitness testing from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with practice slated for 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The second day of camp is set for Sunday, November 25th from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. All the practices are free and open to the public.

Rochester will begin its title defense on the road to open the 2013 season. The World Champions will open their 19th season against the Washington Stealth at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, January 5th. The Knighthawks will play their home opener on Saturday, January 19th against the rival Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. Season tickets are currently on sale at the Knighthawks Office and can be purchased by calling (585) 454-HAWK (4295).
