CLax: Inferno look to Toll and NLL draftees to bolster roster for season 2

Head Coach Brian Beisel is fired up about the team’s picks in the Canadian Lacrosse League draft last weekend, especially landing legendary speedster Steve Toll. “He’s still in great shape,” Beisel said of Toll, the former director of operations for the Oshawa Machine and Durham Turfdogs. “He still wants to play.” Toll played in the National Lacrosse League with the Edmonton Rush last season, but Biesel told the Brampton Guardian that Toll’s new job doesn’t mesh with the NLL schedule. The Inferno also grabbed other players that Biesel says are good, but not all of them will be able to crack lineups in the nine-team NLL. Brampton selected a total of nine players who were picked in this year’s NLL draft, including first rounders Dhane Smith, Curtis Knight and Alex Crepinsek.
