While the eastern seaboard of the United States deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, one lacrosse player who hails from the far coast of the continent can’t help but think about what might have been had the storm come a year earlier. When New Westminster Jr Salmonbellies captain Brandon Goodwin moved to New York last fall to enroll at ASA College Manhattan, the scholarship lacrosse player lived in an apartment on 13th Street. Last week, Sandy “made mincemeat out of their previous neighbourhood, leaving it waterlogged and without electricity,” says the New Westminster NewsLeader. Goodwin said the storm pounded everything below 50th street.
While he and his roommates are living up on 89th Street this year, they’ve packed their apartment with a few friends whose residence close to Goodwin’s old place were left without power in the way of the storm.Stamp is a TV sports announcer and lacrosse lover whose skill set made him a defender but who always dreamed of being a goal-scorer.
