Enough was enough for the Charlotte Copperheads on Saturday night. Tied 3-3 at the end of the first quarter with the visiting Reading Rockets, the Copperheads pulled away with a 6-2 run over the second quarter that sparked them to a 14-11 victory over the Rockets in a Professional Lacrosse League game at Bojangles Coliseum. “I am so proud of our guys. We showed tremendous heart in the second half,” Charlotte coach Tom Ryan told the team’s website. The Copperheads extended their halftime lead (9-5) by outscoring Reading 7-2 in the third quarter, then held Reading scoreless in the fourth to lock up the win. Ethan Farrell scored 4 goals and Sam Bradman led a group of 4 players with 2 goals each for the Copperheads, who improve to 3-1. Jesse Guerin scored 3 goals for Reading, which is 0-2-2.
