IL Indoor’s Steve Bermel tweeted earlier today, ¬†Source telling me Chris White will sign with Toronto. Buffalo matched Toronto’s offer but he will join the Rock.#NLL Well, we can now confirm that the reports are true. White, who has served as the Bandits captain for the past few seasons, will indeed sign with the Toronto Rock. ILIndoor spoke with Rock personnel and they have stated that the deal has been finalized and they are just waiting for White to return from a wedding in B.C. to put pen to paper. “We felt that we needed to toughen up our back end after losing some valuable pieces last year and Whitey is a perfect fit for us,” said the source tonight. White, who was an unrestricted free agent had the ability to sign where ever he wanted and when the Rock stepped up and offered him a deal, it didn’t take long for him to agree to the terms. The deal will be a one-year deal as both the PLPA and the owners realize that with a one year CBA in place, there is no point in signing long term deals. Stay tuned to IL Indoor as more on the White signing comes out.
