They’re down 0-2 against the Coquitlam Adanacs. They’ve lost 10 straight playoff games dating back to the 2010 season. The Victoria Shamrocks certainly are down, but not out. Just ask GM Chris Welch. “Not a single guy in that room is about to quit,” Welch told the Times-Colonist as the Shamrocks prepare for tonight’s Game 3 of their Western Lacrosse Association playoff series. “Let the other team write us off, we’re fine with that, but we’re not about to write ourselves off just yet.” Key to digging themselves out of the hole is avoiding the slow starts that has seen them outscored 9-5 in the first quarter of both games combined. “You can’t bury yourself at the start of the game and expect to crawl out of that hole,” said Welch.
