Jr Athletics and Jr Arrows made trade as Ontario Jr loop closes in on the playoffs

IL Indoor has learned that the St. Catharines Athletics have sent Joel Matthews and Shayne Adams to the Six Nations Arrows in a deal that went down earlier today. In return, the Athletics will receive two first rounders, two seconds rounders as well as an undisclosed amount of cash. What’s interesting about this deal is that the Whitby Warriors were hoping to acquire Matthews but when he wasn’t made available they ended up picking up Chris Attwood from the Athletics who are cleaning house letting some of the final year juniors get a shot at a Minto Cup.
