Toronto will be without transition player Damon Edwards in tonight's East Division final.

The National Lacrosse League has announced that Damon Edwards’ appeal has been denied by an arbitrator so he will serve his one-game suspension tonight when the Toronto Rock play host to the Rochester Knighthawks in the East Division final. Edwards was not penalized when he checked Ian Llord into the boards from behind during Toronto’s win over Buffalo last week. When the league reviewed the incident they assessed Edwards with a game misconduct and match penalty. The latter carries with it an automatic one-game suspension, which the PLPA appealed on Edwards’ behalf. You can see the play and listen to Rock owner Jamie Dawick’s reaction to the suspension here.
