ILIndoor has learned that the Buffalo Bandits have traded 2 future first-round entry draft picks to the Minnesota Swarm in exchange for goaltender Anthony Cosmo, formerly of the Boston Blazers. The deal was announced Friday morning with Swarm owner John Arlotta telling NLL.com that “it’s time for Anthony to get back on the floor. We wish him all the best.” When sources were asked earlier this week, Buffalo was “in the market for trades in order to make the team better,” but Cosmo was supposedly not involved. ILIndoor learned later in the week that a Cosmo deal was back on the table and while it gives the Bandits a new goaltender, the deal also sets up Minnesota quite well for down the road. They have 2 first-round picks in the 2012 draft thanks to the 1 they picked up in trading Josh Sanderson to the Rock during the dispersal draft. And now they have additional first-round picks in the 2013 and 2014 drafts with the deal made for Cosmo.
