Who ya got? National Lacrosse League Week 5 Picks

How will Andrew Suitor and the Swarm follow up on their eight-goal win over the Bandits last weekend?

Week 5 of the 2012 National Lacrosse League season is upon us, and with it comes another group of games that could provide some answers to questions likely to be in the minds of fans. How good are the Colorado Mammoth and could they really start go 5-0? Or do the Edmonton Rush — following up on an impressive, dominating win over the snake-bitten Washington Stealth — have what it takes to compete with Jr. and the boys in the West Division?

And back east, how will the Philadelphia Wings respond to their huge win over the Buffalo Bandits last weekend? And how with the Bandits respond after looking very tough to start the season but dropping two straight, including a 8-goal setback to the Minnesota Swarm?

These questions and more might be more answerable after these four contest this weekend. Fans are holding their own in the Pick ‘Em battle, but there continues to be some ties in the polls, leaving the fans’ current record at 6-4-5. This writer is wishing he had some figures in the “tie” column, as it’s been a tough start, as I sit at 5-10.
