IL Indoor has learned that the National Lacrosse is very close to reaching an agreement with CBS Sports Network to air league games in the 2012 and 2013 seasons. The network, formerly known as CBS College Sports, reaches over 98 million homes in the United States and is also available in Canada. Games will begin airing in April and run through the playoffs and championship game.
The agreement includes a provision that could allow a game to be flexed to the main CBS network. That would most likely be the championship game but details are still being worked out. CBS Sports Network is also expected to announce next week a package of Major Lacrosse League games to be shown in 2012. It already shows college lacrosse games.
Sources confirmed that the deal is very close and is expected to be finalized and officially announced soon. NLL Commissioner George Daniel had no comment when reached this afternoon.Stamp is a TV sports announcer and lacrosse lover whose skill set made him a defender but who always dreamed of being a goal-scorer.
