The Jacksonville Bullies will be led by a face familiar to north Florida lacrosse fans and players, IL Indoor has learned. Brian Duncan will be introduced later today. He is the Defensive Coordinator for the University of Jacksonville field team and a founder of the Jacksonville Lacrosse Club.

The Bullies will start play in the new North American Lacrosse League in January. Their first head coach was a midfielder and two-year captain at University of Maryland-Baltimore County and was drafted by the NLL’s Pittsburgh Bulls in 1993.

Duncan was head coach at the Community College of Baltimore County at Essex from 2004-’09. They won a national title his first year at the college and appeared in two more championships.

The familiarity theme continues with the Bullies’ assistant coach, Patrick Harnett. The former Hofstra defender has been an assistant at JU for two years and co-founded the Jacksonville Lacrosse Club with Duncan. Co-owner Chris Milo will serve as the team’s General Manager.

Stamp is a TV sports announcer and lacrosse lover whose skill set made him a defender but who always dreamed of being a goal-scorer. He can be reached at stamplax@hotmail.com.
