Jacksonville Bullies will look to push rest of North American Lacrosse League around

The Jacksonville franchise in the North American Lacrosse League has a name. They will be the Jacksonville Bullies. Their logo features a bulldog gripping a lacrosse stick in its mouth and an anchor hanging from its collar.

General Manager and co-owner Chris Milo says the team liked the toughness associated with the dog but didn’t want to be confused with the University of Georgia Bulldogs, so they went with Bullies. The anchor pays homage to Jacksonville’s naval heritage. The U.S. Navy has a strong presence in the port city.
