It was a battle of two of the highest ranked Junior ‘A’ clubs in Canada (check back later today for our updated Power Rankings), the Six Nations Arrows coming back in the third period and then accelerating in OT to beat the St. Catharines Athletics 13-11 in extra frame lacrosse, the Arrows now alone in first in the OLA. Six Nations were led by hat-tricks from Johnny Powless and Joey Cupido, but got OT singles from Alex Kedoh HillRodd Squire and the recently added Josh Ruys, who was picked up by the Arrows last week from Burlington. The two sides are back at it tonight in a much anticipated rematch at Bill Burgoyne Arena in St. Kitts (8PM ET). On the other side of the country another pair of Top 10 teams battled, the New Westminster Salmonbellies smashing the Delta Islanders 16-7; Tyler Digby, Mark Negrin and Brandon Goodwin, who had a hat-trick in a pivotal third period, all had 4-goals each on Tuesday. The W pushed New West past Delta for third overall in the BCJALL. The rest of last night’s scores after the jump.
