Boston Blazers sign Philadelphia Wings free agent vet forward Dan Teat

After a single season with the Philadelphia Wings, Dan Teat has signed with the Boston Blazers.
The Boston Blazers have confirmed the addition of 14-year veteran free agent forward Dan Teat, Teat playing for the Philadelphia Wings during the 2010 National Lacrosse League season, his year ending early after a late-season broken wrist sidelined the new Blazer for the final handful of games in Philadelphia.
“We are excited to have Dan in a Blazers uniform this season,” said Blazers President and GM Doug Reffue in a statement issued by the team early Thursday afternoon. “We look forward to adding his experience and leadership on and off the floor as we make a run for the Champion’s Cup.”
Boston of course added high profile forwards Casey Powell via the Orlando Titans dispersal draft and Josh Sanderson through a blockbuster trade with the Calgary Roughnecks. The B’s also added 2010 All-Pro Second Team member John Orsen, an American quickly gaining a reputation as one of the top shutdown defenders in the NLL.
Teat came off of arguably his most impressive pro season two years ago with the Edmonton Rush prior to being dealt to the Wingsin exchange for Portland Lumberjax dispersal pickup Derek Malawsky. Teat is just 30-points shy of posting 700 career points in the NLL, a number definitely within reach suiting up for the high octane Boston offense in 2011.
The team also confirmed today the re-signing of Jamie Rooney, Brett Queener and Sean Morris.
