John Orsen will remain a Boston Blazers after the franchise matched the Toronto Rock's offer sheet.
Insider has confirmed that the Boston Blazers have in fact matched the offer sheet dispersal draft pickup John Orsen signed with the Toronto Rock earlier this week, the Blazers retaining Orsen’s services, a likely key piece of their defensive lineup in 2011.
This is the second occurrence in almost as many weeks that the Rock franchise has attempted to sway a Boston restricted free agent defender, two weeks previous signing Paul Dawson to an offer sheet, the Blazers later trading Dawson to the Calgary Roughnecks, who also matched Toronto’s bid for the player.
